Joanne (Sharaf) Shechter, 84, of West Hartford died Jan. 13.

She was the widow of Howard L. Goldberg. Born in Boston, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Louis and Edna (Hoffman) Sharaf. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Shechter of West Hartford and Andrea Shechter of Seattle, Wash.; and her brother Robert Sharaf of Marco Island, Fla.
