WEST HARTFORD – More than 75 students, parents and alumni – as well as Gov. Dannell Malloy and Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman – braved the bitter cold one recent Sunday morning to attend a forum hosted by the University of Connecticut Hillel at the home of Michael and Shari Cantor in West Hartford. The goal of the forum, says Gary Wolff, executive director of UConn Hillel, was to fill the community in on “the exponential growth and huge resurgence of vitality at UConn Hillel.” “Hillel’s mission statement is to enrich the lives of undergraduate and graduate students so they may enrich the Jewish people and the world,” Shari Cantor, a UConn Hillel executive board member, told the group. “I feel that at UCONN, we are working towards this every day.”
