Marsha “Mia” (Gans) Gordon, age 58 of Fairfield, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Yale New Haven Hospital after a long illness. Ms. Gordon was born in Bridgeport, a daughter of Ingrid (Heidenheimer) Gans of Bridgeport and the late Charles Gans, and was a registered nurse, having been associated with Hall-Brooke Hospital of Westport and St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport. In addition to her mother, Ms. Gordon is survived by her loving children, Jason Gordon of New York, N.Y., Jenna Gordon of Stratford, her devoted brother Richard Gans and his wife Shelley of Woodbridge, and nieces, Aliza and Sarah Gans. Ms. Gordon was also pre-deceased by a sister, Janice Ellen Gans. Funeral service was held on Monday, March 28, 2011. The family wishes to express their gratitude for the exceptional comfort and care at the Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale. Memorial contributions may be made the 12th floor at Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale. Shiva will be observed through Sunday April 3rd at the home of Richard and Shelley Gans in Woodbridge.
