More than 300 women were on hand for Voices, the annual event hosted by Women’s Philanthropy of the Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford.  Highlights of the evening included opening remarks by Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman, who shared amusing anecdotes about growing up Jewish, and keynote speaker Linda Kaplan Thaler, CEO and chief creative officer of the Kaplan Thaler Group. Thaler is best known for writing such memorable advertising ditties as the Toys R Us jingle and for creating memorable advertising characters like the AFLAC duck. Together with her husband, composer Fred Thaler, she also created a series of films for the United Jewish Appeal, helping to raise millions of dollars.
