Dr. Harold Moskowitz receives teaching award

Dr. Harold Moskowitz

Dr. Harold Moskowitz, a faculty member in the Department of Diagnostic Imaging and Therapeutics at the University of Connecticut Health Center School of Medicine is the recipient of the 2011 Kaiser-Permanente Teaching Award, it was announced in May by Dr. Dan Henry, chair of the Kaiser Permanente Committee.  The Kaiser Permanente award is presented annually to a faculty member who, by their excellence in teaching, have exerted the greatest influence upon, and contributed in the most outstanding matter to, the intellectual and professional growth of their students.
Moskowitz is credited with creating a new radiology course at the medical school that has been hailed by students as “crucial to all future residents.”  He was cited for his dedication to teaching and his commitment to the success of each student who passes through his doors.
A graduate of the State University of New York, Downstate Medical School, he was a resident at Jefferson Medical School.
