ADL to honor Greenwich and Simsbury residents

HAMDEN – Kim Hausman Athan of Greenwich, her parents Irwin and Eva Hausman of Simsbury, and Rita and Martin Edelston of Greenwich will be presented with the Anti-Defamation League’s Daniel R. Ginsberg Humanitarian Award at a reception to be held on Wednesday, Nov. 9. The Daniel R. Ginsberg Humanitarian Award Reception recognizes individuals who have devoted themselves to humanitarian causes in the Lower Fairfield County community.

The evening will also celebrate the 20th anniversary of ADL’s A World of Difference Institute, which provides anti-bias education and diversity training programs and resources throughout Connecticut. The institute seeks to help participants recognize bias and the harm it inflicts on individuals and society, explore the value of diversity, improve intergroup relations, and combat racism, anti-Semitism and all forms of prejudice and bigotry.
