2011: We should not forget

We remember those killed this year in terrorist attacks in Israel.

 

Ben Yosef Livnat, 24, was shot and killed and four others were wounded by a Palestinian Authority policeman who opened fire on them after they prayed at Joseph’s Tomb (Kever Yosef) on April 4.
Daniel Viflic, 16, was critically injured and later died when a rocket fired from Gaza hit  a school bus traveling in southern Israel near the Nahal Oz crossing. The attack occured on April 7; the teen died on April 17.
Mary Jane Gardner, 59, an English woman studying at Hebrew University, was killed and more than 30 people were injured when a bomb went off near a bus stop in Jerusalem on March 23.

Rabbi Udi and Ruth Fogel, and three of their children, Yoav, 11, Elad, 4, and Hadas, three months, were stabbed to death by two Palestinian terrorists who entered their home in Itamar on Friday evening, March 11.

On August 18, eight Israelis – including two soldiers – were killed by terrorists in a series of attacks near Eilat, along Israel’s border with Egypt. A ninth victim was killed by a rocket attack on August 20.  They are: Chief Warrant Officer Pascal Avrahami, 49, of Jerusalem; Flora Gez, 52, of Kfar Saba; Moshe Gez, 53, of Kfar Saba; Dov Karlinsky, 58, of Kfar Saba; Shulamit Karlinsky, 54, of Kfar Saba; Yosel Levy, 57, of Holon; Staff Sgt. Moshe Naftali, 22, of Ofra; Yitzhak Sela, 56, of Beersheba; Yossi Shushan, 38, of Ofakim.
