Efrem Jaffe, 80, of Manchester, died Jan. 19. He was the husband of Maxine (Lappin) Jaffe. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Louis and Rose (Cohen) Jaffe. He was a U.S. Army veteran. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Louis S. (Lara Oboler) Jaffe of New York, N.Y., and Marjorie Jaffe (Bruce) Goldner of New York, N.Y.; his grandchildren, Sylvie, Rubie and Chase Goldner, and Henry, Gabriel and Stella Jaffe; his brother, Sheldon (Nancy) Jaffe of Los Angeles, Calif.; and his sister-in-law, Toby Jaffe of Baltimore, Md. He was predeceased by his brother, Lawrence S. Jaffe.
