Solomon Schechter campaign raises $100,000+

WEST HARTFORD – The Solomon Schechter Day School of Greater Hartford (SSDS) has reported that its annual “Friends of Solomon Schechter” (F.O.S.S.) Campaign raised more than $100,000.  In addition to donations from Solomon Schechter families and community members, the school received a $10,000 challenge gift from the Solinsky and Zachs families in the months of January and February.
“The F.O.S.S. campaign had broad communal support which demonstrates the commitment of the Greater Hartford community to Jewish education,” said Rabbi Elliot Goldberg, head of school. “We encourage all of our supporters to come and visit our school to see the rich Jewish environment that produces creative thinkers and confident learners who are motivated to make a difference in the world.”.
Solomon Schechter Day School will host its annual Ner Tamid dinner to be held on June 3 at the Marriott Hartford Downtown.
