Program to focus on the transitions of aging

SIMSBURY – Farmington Valley Jewish Congregation-Emek Shalom (FVJC-ES) is hosting an informational program for seniors and their families on
issues relating to the transitions of aging on Sunday, May 6, 11 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
The event will feature presentations by experts in various fields, in addition to an exhibition area with representatives of facilities and providers who serve the needs of seniors in the Greater Hartford community.
Speakers will include specialists: Neil Karmaer, Esq. on elder law; Dr. Henry Schneiderman on gerontology; Samuel Davidson on Social Security/Medicare; and Rabbi Howard Herman and Cantor Mark Perman on the spirituality of aging.
Exhibitors will represent nursing homes and assisted living facilities, senior centers, family caretakers, and community healthcare agencies.
FVJC-ES is located at 55 Bushy Hill Road in Simsbury.
