Marvin H. Schaefer, 85, of Woodbridge, died May 24. He was widow of Norma (Abeshouse) Schaefer. Born in New Haven, he was the son of the late Frank and Anna (Cohen) Schaefer. He is survived by his children, Fran (Alan) Ponchick of Woodbridge, Bruce (Jill) Schaefer of Woodbridge, and Deborah (Paul Greenbaum) Schaefer-Greenbaum of Woodbridge; his brother of Edwin (Lorrie) Schaefer of New Haven and his grandchildren, Adam and Shanna, Andrew, Evan, Alexander, Taylor, Colby, Jared, Courtney, Aaron, and Eric; and his companion Renee Buchsbaum. He was also predeceased by his siblings,  Rosalind Savitsky and Bernard Schaefer.
