Ruth (Lubov) Abelson, 89, formerly of Tampa, Fla. and West Haven, died June 21. Born in New Haven, she was the daughter of the late Meyer and Nellie (Fannick) Lubov. She is survived by her children, Barry M. Abelson and his wife Robin of Bryn Mawr, Penn., Jeffrey A. Abelson and Linda B. Abelson, both of California; her grandchildren, Jessica and Marty, Alison and Jeremy, Alex, and Daniel; and her great-grandchildren, Grace and Maddie.  She was also predeceased by her brother David E. Lubov.
