Edith Sokoloff, 95, of Hamden, died June 24. She was the widow of Nathan Sokoloff. Born in Boston, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Adela (Sherman) and Max Gersh. She is survived by her children, Ronald (Ann) Sokoloff of Hamden and Richard (Janet) Sokoloff of Cheshire; her sister Hilda Velleman of Mass. and Jack (Bessie) Gersh of Az.; her grandchildren, David (Christine) Sokoloff, Diane Sokoloff, Elaine (Kenneth) Gieszler, Mark (Sandy) Sokoloff, and Lisa Sokoloff; and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister Helen (Howard) Silverman of Mass., and her son-in-law, William Velleman.
