(JNS.org) Emigration from the Jewish state is at a 40-year low, according to recently released data from Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics.
• A total of 15,600 Israelis left the country in 2010, the most recent year for which such statistics are available, representing 300 fewer emigrations than Israel experienced in 2009.
• About 25 percent of those who left Israel returned home within a period of several months to a year, the new statistics revealed.
Over the past decade, emigration from Israel has consistently declined while immigration to the country has remained relatively stable, according to Israel National News.
