BBYO “Rocks the Vote”

Three hundred and fifty teens from throughout Connecticut and Western Massachusetts came out for the “Rock the Vote” program sponsored by Connecticut Valley Region BBYO, in collaboration with Temple Beth El and Kulanu in Stamford, the Jewish High School of CT in Bridgeport, Jewish Teen Learning Connection and Jewish Student Connection (formerly JSU). State Representative Matthew Lesser of the 100th district spoke with teens about the importance of voting and youth activism. More than a dozen teens registered to vote for the first time at the event.
BBYO continues to grow…and engage students throughout the state and beyond. Last year, more than 1000 teens in grades 6 through 12 attended the group’s programs. Recently, two new chapters were launched at Temple Sholom in Greenwich and Beit Chaverim in Westport.
To find out more about how you – or your teen – can get involved in BBYO, contact Josh Cohen, senior regional director at JCohen@bbyo.org or (203) 389-2127.
