JFS camp scholarships available for summer 2013

WESTPORT – Jewish Family Service of Westport, Weston, Wilton and Norwalk (JFS) is offering financial assistance for area children to attend a Jewish camp program.
The JFS scholarship program is made possible through the Ben and Joan Zinbarg Camp Scholarship Fund, as well as the United Jewish Federation of Stamford, New Canaan and Darien and the Louis J. Kuriansky Foundation and other individuals. Last year, the program helped make it possible for almost 60 children to attend Jewish summer camp.
To qualify for a scholarship, children must be entering first grade or above in September 2013, plan to attend a Jewish day or overnight camp.  The family must also demonstrate financial need.
To obtain an application for the JFS Ben and Joan Zinbarg Camp Scholarship Program call Maria McNulty (203) 921-4161. The deadline for completed applications is March 15. All information is kept strictly confidential.
Those interested in supporting the Camp Scholarship Program should contact JFS CEO Matt Greenberg at (203) 921-4161 or mgreenberg@ctjfs.org
