Letter: Where are the women?

I note the lovely photo of the fifth grade boys of Yeshiva K’tana in Waterbury celebrating beginning their study of Gemara surrounded by their proud fathers (Around Connecticut, Jan. 18, 20013, p.16). I couldn’t help but ask the obvious questions though:  Why no photo of the fifth grade girls celebrating beginning their study of Gemara, and where are the mothers?
