Seeking Hartford area host families for Israeli Scouts

The Mandell Jewish Community Center in West Hartford is seeking two families willing to house two Israeli scouts who will be working at the JCC’s Camp Shalom in Windsor  this summer, educating and engaging campers in activities that give them a better understanding of Israel. The scouts arrive on June 18 and will be in the Hartford community until August 16.

One of the scouts has asthma and would therefore prefer a home without pets.

The host family is asked to drop the scout off at the JCC each morning by 8:20 a.m., in order to catch the bus to Camp Shalom; and to pick up the scout at the JCC at 4:15 p.m. or sometime after that.

For more information on becoming a host family call Elana MacGilpin at (860) 231-6327; email, emacgilpin@mandelljcc.org.
