Bringing Judaism to life, month by month

bsbi2 copyStudents at the Leon Wind Religious School at Beth Sholom Bnei Israel in Manchester showed off the artwork they created as part of the school’s “Jewish Art Month” program. Spearheaded by master teacher Shaindy Jaffee (Morah Shaindy), each class of students in grades 2 – 7 chose one of the Jewish calendar months, which they then studied, learning its history, holidays and customs. Each grade then designed a mural emphasizing the uniqueness of their chosen Jewish month. The project was unveiled at the end of the school’s end-of-year barbeque, when each class explained its artwork and its design. The students officially presented their artwork as a gift to the school.bsbi copy
