As has been their tradition for so many years, members of the Jewish Children’s Service Organization (JCSO) made Chanukah much more joyful for 30 Jewish children ranging in age from one to 18, when they bought, wrapped and delivered gifts to the children, all of whom are living in need in the Hartford area. The JCSO volunteers purchased “wish list” items that included clothing, games, books, cosmetics, bed linens, gift cards and Chanukah gelt.

JCSO is a volunteer organization that helps families in the greater Hartford area who find themselves in dire situations, by providing funds for basic needs such as food, daycare and clothing for children. The all-volunteer organization also provides college and camp scholarships. For more info: JCSO, P.O. Box 370386, Bishop’s Corner Branch, West Hartford 06137.
