Shirley (Golden) Kleiner, 92, of Stamford, formerly of Irvington, N.J., died on Jan. 6. She was the widow of Isadore Kleiner. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of Ida and Israel Golden. She was also predeceased by her siblings: Herbie, Pearl and Jerry. She is survived by her children, Helen, George and Ken; her grandchildren Josh, Jen, Heather, Kerri, Ben and Matt; her son-in-law Marty Donner; her former daughter-in-law Laura Kleiner; and the Leifer family. Shirley and Izzy operated a successful insurance company. She was a vice president of the New Jersey Insurance Woman’s Association. After Izzy died at the age of 44, she continued to operate the business for an additional four years before closing the doors. She enjoyed her family, laughing and noshing and she always assumed she would like people and people would like her.
