Netanyahu says Israel can help California with drought

(JNS.org) Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and California Governor Jerry Brown signed a pro-business pact on March 5. The agreement aims to expand and strengthen cultural, academic, and economic ties between Israel and California, with an emphasis on water conservation, alternative energy, cyber defense, biotechnology, health, agritech, and higher education. Israel can help California deal with its ongoing drought, according to Netanyahu. “California doesn’t need to have a water problem,” Netanyahu said during a meeting with Brown at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, Calif. “Israel has no water problems because we are the number one recyclers of waste water, we stop water leaks, we use drip irrigation and desalination.”
