KRAMER

Marion Kramer, age 91 of Trumbull, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 7. Marion was born and raised in Waterbury, one of three daughters to her cherished parents, the late Samuel and Sophie Risik. Mrs. Kramer began to raise her family in New Milford, before moving to Mahopac, N.Y. Marion dedicated herself to the community and as a member volunteered in each synagogue to which she belonged.  Her activism continued after moving back to Connecticut, where she became affiliated with Hadassah, volunteered for both the Jewish Home for the Elderly in Fairfield and Congregation Rodeph Sholom in Bridgeport. Her passion for volunteering also thrived in serving the UJA and Israel Bonds with her husband, Conrad Kramer, who were both honored numerous times for their service. Marion was predeceased by her beloved husband, Conrad Kramer in 2006, and by her adored sisters, Natalie Zucker and Edith Kempler Shoenberg. Mrs. Kramer is survived by her devoted sons, Jack Kramer, Paul Kramer and his wife Diane McGarvey, Donald Kramer and his wife Jody, and by her adored grandchildren, David, Jessie, Carly, Julie, Emily, and Alex. Services took place on Wednesday April 9, from the Abraham L. Green & Son Funeral Home in Fairfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Jewish Family Service of Fairfield County.
