The future bride holds a Bachelor of Science degree in communication disorders from the University of Connecticut and a Master of Science degree in speech language pathology from Southern Connecticut State University. She is currently a school-based speech pathologist. She is the granddaughter of Sylvia Fidellman and the late Bennett Fidellman, and the late Paul and Shirley Hoffmann.
The future groom holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and a minor in human rights from the University of Connecticut, and a Master of Public Policy degree from the Bloustein School of Planning and Policy at Rutgers University, where he was also a fellow at the Eagleton Institute of Politics. He is currently a project manager for the Connecticut Department of Revenue Services and serves as a member of the UConn Hillel Board of Directors. He is the grandson of Marilyn and the late Dr. Bernard Schwartz, and the late Albert and Ruth Weinstein.
The couple met as undergraduates at the University of Connecticut.
A wedding is planned for June 2015.
