WEST HARTFORD – Rise Roth has joined the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Hartford as the vice president for philanthropy, it was announced recently by Michael Johnston, the Foundation’s president and CEO.

Among her responsibilities, Roth will manage the Aim Chai Endowment Campaign, a new community-wide collaboration that aims to strengthen and sustain the future of Jewish Hartford.

According to Johnston, Roth has extensive leadership experience in nonprofits and academia; most recently she was responsible for endowment giving at the University of Hartford. A graduate of Hobart and William Smith Colleges, she has held volunteer and professional fundraising leadership roles at Solomon Schechter Day School and the Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford.

“Rise has been a positive force in this community for decades,” said Johnston.  “We are thrilled that she will be part of JCF to help build a truly extraordinary community foundation – a model of transformational philanthropy and impact – in collaboration with an ambitious, dynamic team of professionals.”
