Irving “Emmy” Steinberg, 88, of West Hartford, died Nov. 17. Born in Hartford, he was the son of Hyman and Frieda Steinberg. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theatre of Battle in combat infantry. He was a past member of the former B’nai Shalom Synagogue in Newington. He is survived by his children, Howard J. Steinberg of West Hartford, David M. Steinberg of Saipan, and Bonnie E. Steinberg of Dedham, Mass; and his former wife, Shirley Steinberg of West Hartford.
