ADL honors three Fairfield County residents

Judith Alter Kallman of Greenwich and Carol and Peter Lilienthal of Stamford were honored at the Anti-Defamation League’s (ADL) 2014 Daniel R. Ginsberg Humanitarian Award Reception on Dec. 7 at Burning Tree Country Club in Greenwich.

“It was a wonderful evening,” said ADL Connecticut Regional Director Gary Jones. “We had highly deserving honorees who have had a large philanthropic presence in the Lower Fairfield County community for years. The audience was captivated by each of our honorees’ remarks. With the recent increase in global anti-Semitism, the words of Judith, a Holocaust survivor, and Peter, a second-generation survivor, held particular significance. Additionally, we are enormously appreciative that Sen. Blumenthal, himself a 2001 Daniel R. Ginsberg award recipient, showed his support by addressing our guests. He is a longtime friend and supporter and truly understands the critical importance of our work, to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and secure justice and fair treatment to all.”
