Holiday helper

Kathleen Asnes (left) was among the 118 volunteers who turned out at Hebrew HealthCare on Dec. 25 to take part in the West Hartford home’s annual mitzvah program that makes it possible for staff to take the day to celebrate Christmas with their families. The volunteers take over a variety of staff duties, including passing out meals, working in the café and gift shop, assisting with recreation programs, and more. Asnes is pictured here with Hebrew HealthCare resident Sara Cappel.
