Rita Lillian (Pinkes) Stein, 96, of West Hartford, died Jan. 11. She was the widow of Louis Stein. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late David and Anna (Friedman) Pinkes. She was a founding member of Beth El Temple of West Hartford. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Linda Stein of Naples, Fla.; her grandchildren, Traci Kressly and her husband Richard of Pennsburg, Penn., and Chris Guntz and his wife Ann of Downingtown, Penn.; and her great-grandchildren, Aric and Jake Kressly. Her son Gary Stein passed away two days after her. She was also predeceased by her brother Abraham ‘Sonny’ Pinkes. WEINSTEIN MORTUARY
