BBYO boys learn a life lesson from Vin Baker

Members of BBYO’s Exodus AZA were on hand at Hamden Hall Country Day School one recent evening to hear former NBA star Vin Baker speak as part of the Beckerman Lecture Series. Baker, a graduate of Old Saybrook High School and the University of Hartford, spoke humbly and honestly about his experience in the NBA and the Olympics – and about how he lost it all. His powerful message about personal character, making good decisions, and living a productive life resonated with his teen audience. Exodus AZA members come from throughout the New Haven area. The group meets at the Jewish Community Center of Greater New Haven in Woodbridge.
