ENGLEMAN-MERIN

Jo Ann and Bruce Engleman of Lafayette Hill. Pa. announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Leigh, to Eric Scott Merin, son of Ilene and Mark Merin of West Hartford.

The couple met in 2008 while attending the University of Maryland.

The future bride earned a Bachelor’s degree in psychology with a certificate in business from the University of Maryland. She is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR), and works in the human resources department of the public accounting firm Friedman LLP in New York City.

The future groom earned a Bachelor’s degree in government and politics and communication from the University of Maryland. He earned a Juris Doctorate degree from New York University School of Law, and is presently a litigation associate at the New York City office of the law firm Kirkland & Ellis LLP.

Sharing in their joy are Rachel’s sister, Sara,  and Eric’s brothers, Seth and Jonathan (Andrea).

Rachel is the granddaughter of the late Kenneth and Lorraine Chalal, and the late Louis and Helen Engleman. Eric is the grandson of Dorothy Merin and the late David Merin, and the late Kurt and Elsie Joseph.

The couple live in New York City. A December 2015 wedding in Philadelphia is planned.
