Hartford women to discuss “Embracing Your Community” on May 28

WEST HARTFORD – Three longtime philanthropists will take center stage for Embracing Your Community, a panel discussion presented by the Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford on May 28, 7 p.m., at Beth El Temple in West Hartford. The event is the third in Women’s Philanthropy’s Living with Intention series in which experts share their experience and ideas for adding more meaning to everyday life.

The May 28 panel discussion will be moderated by Ann Pava, National Women’s Philanthropy chair of the Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) and a board member of the Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford board member. Panelists will include: Alison Lebovitz, PBS talk show host and co-founder and president of One Clip at a Time, an organization that promotes student activism and supports service learning in classrooms across North America; and Kathy E. Manning, immediate past chair of JFNA’s Board of Trustees of Jewish Federations of North America.

The program’s community partners are the Women’s Network of Beth El Temple and Congregation Beth Israel Sisterhood, both of West Hartford.
