Scholar-in-Residence Weekend in New London

NEW LONDON – Congregation Beth El in New London will host a Scholar-in-Residence weekend June 12 – 14, featuring Rabbi Stuart Kelman, co-founder of  Kavod v’Nichum, a nationwide movement to empower non-Orthodox Jewish communities to attend to our dead in a loving and respectful manner consistent with Jewish tradition. Rabbi Kelman will be leading the congregation in an exploration of the often opaque and even frightening rituals that accompany death, burial and mourning. Beth El is located at 660 Ocean Ave., New London. For more information, call (860) 442-0418 or visit bethel-nl.org.
