Bettye (Tucker) Hershfeld, 95, of Danville, Calif., formerly of West Hartford, died on July 8.  She was a caring and loving wife, mother and grandmother and friend. Along with her husband, she was actively involved with Beth Shalom (Hartford) and Beth Hillel (Bloomfield).  She was a member of Hadassah. She actively participated in the Mr. and Mrs. Club, the Sisterhood, and the Jewish War Veterans and Ladies Auxiliary of the USA (Post #45).  She was the widow of Samuel R. Hershfeld. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Barney and Dorothy (Flaxman) Tucker. She is survived by her daughters, Jan Hershfeld of Danville, Calif. and Linda Rubinson of Roseville, Calif. and Henderson, Nev., her son-in-law, Barry Rubinson, her grandchildren, Dr. Samantha Rubinson and David Rubinson, and her brother, Seymour Tucker of Old Lyme.
