Emily Kernberg Strauss, 92, of West Hartford died July 24. She was the widow of Eric Strauss. She was a survivor of the Auschwitz and Bergen-Belsen concentration camps. She was a long-time member of Congregation Beth Israel. She is survived by her children, Steven Strauss and his wife Laurie of West Hartford, and Tina Turner and her husband Stanley of West Hartford; her grandchildren, Jennifer Strauss and her fiancé Rob Marks, Adam Strauss, Frank Turner and his wife Amy, Chad Turner and his wife Karyn, Jason Turner and his fiancée Sandra Zizinga, Heather Kaplan and her husband Dave; her great-grandchildren, Dyllan, Logan, Amaya, Annalise, Tyler, Evan, Eyan, Caden, Blake and Eric; her brother Jack Vogel and his wife Pearl; her sister-in-law Marga Oppenheimer; and many nieces and nephews.
