Rolayne Kapelner, 88, of East Hartford, died Sept. 29. She was the widow of Sam Kapelner. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. She is survived by her children, Cheryl Kapelner Champ and her husband Steve of Pomfret, David Kapelner and his wife Paula of Northboro, Mass., and Josh Kapelner and his wife Linda; her sisters, Estelle Wilson and Marcia Banks of Frazier Park, Calif.; her grandchildren , Tyler Champ and his wife Jodi, Zachary and Michael Champ, and Sarah and Rachel Kapelner; her great-grandchildren, Trevor and Jordan Champ; and many nieces and nephews.
