Rachel Mendelson Mischel passed away on April 27th at the age of 102. Rae grew up in Hartford CT. She and her late husband Samuel raised their family in West Hartford. She leaves her children Marion Wilson (Bob) of CA, Joyce Jozwicki (Barr) of MA, Jeffrey Mischel (Lorna) of OH, and David Mischel of Washington DC. and grandchildren: Abby Gold, Harry Gold, Keith Mischel, Todd Mischel, Katie Jozwicki and Dana Jozwicki and her great-grandchildren: Drew and Emma Swenson, Alex and Austin Mischel, Peyton Mischel, Aeshoka and Anicca Wanapat and Lucius Morgan. Her legacy to her family is the meaning of love, the importance of personal responsibility, and the reward of hard work. She served as the assistant manager at the Saint Joseph College Bookstore, and managed the Tunxis Community College Bookstore where she inspired many young people. Everyone will remember her legendary cooking by which she showed her love. Her gift of love will live on. There will be a private graveside ceremony for the family.
