Rose (Zebrack) Bernstein, 96, of Boca Raton, Fla., formerly of West Hartford, died May 12. She was the widow of Gerson ‘Gary’ K. Bernstein. Raised in Paterson, NJ, she served as a nurse in the U.S. Army during World War II. She is survived by her daughter, Ina Nenninger and her husband Timothy of Vienna, Va.; her daughter-in-law, Betsy Bernstein of Harrison, N.Y.; her grandchildren, Geoffrey Nenninger and his wife Alissa Andrew Nenninger, Michael Bernstein, and David Bernstein and his fiancee Sarah; and her great-granddaughters, Sophia and Isabelle Nenninger. She was also predeceased by her son, Julian Y. Bernstein.
