At the BBYO Connecticut Valley Region Spring Convention last month, 13 girls cut their long beautiful hair and raised lots of money for Pantene Beautiful Lengths, an organization that creates real-hair wigs to help women fighting cancer feel like themselves again. Each girl donated eight inches of her hair – and collectively raised more than $1,000 for the campaign. (Check out the BBYO “hair-raising” video at www.jewishledger.com.)
