Working the land in Sturbridge

Fourth-graders at Solomon Schechter Academy of New London spent one sunny afternoon at Old Sturbridge Village in Massachusetts to enhance their classroom lessons about Colonial times. They looked on as people dressed in traditional costume demonstrated various 19th-century trades and they took part in the creating reverse glass artwork and helped local farmers load firewood into their cart.
