David S. Engel, 71, of Shelton, died May 25. He was the husband of Sharon (Trosch) Engel. Born in North Carolina, he was the son of the late Meir and Myra (Wachtal) Engel. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Jonathan (Jessica) Engel of North Haven, and Joanna (Dana Finer) Engel of Fullerton, Calif.; his brother, Rafael Engel; and his granddaughter, Miriam Engel.
