Melvin C. Roder, 81, of West Hartford and Delray Beach, Fla., June 2. He was the husband of Claire Zajac, and the widower of Ruth (Lieberman) Roder. Born in New Britain, he was the son of the late Henry and Ethel Roder. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Matthew Roder of Stamford, and Melissa Goldschmidt and her husband David of West Hartford; and his grandchildren, Rachel and Nathaniel. He was also predeceased by his sister Deanna Kedes.
