Stanton J. Abel, 94, of Newington, died Sept. 11. He was the husband of Rhoda (Rosenberg) Abel. Born in Waterbury, he was the son of the late Frank and Grace (Gordon) Abel. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Alan Abel and his wife Pamela of Willimantic, and Gail Chlastawa and her husband James of Westfield, Mass.; and his grandchildren, Stephen Abel and his wife Alison, Samuel Abel, Jake Chlastawa and Sara Chlastawa.
