Book Report in Greenwich

PJ Library of Greenwich kicked off the 2016 school year recently with its “Back Together Family Picnic” – an annual September get-together welcoming new families with young children and reuniting old friends. The picnic is just one of many events for PJ Library families hosted by JCC Greenwich in coordination with local Jewish and non-Jewish institutions, such as synagogues, libraries, businesses and YWCA Greenwich. PJ Library stories connect children to Jewish holidays, history, culture and folklore. For interfaith couples, PJ Library books often provide the first glimmers of a Jewish education through engaging, relatable stories that spark discussion. Next up for PJ Library Greenwich: an Oct. 20 Sukkah Party at Carmel Academy.

CAP: JCC Greenwich board member Rebecca Cooper reads the PJ Library book “Tikkun Olam” to children enjoying the PJ Library “Back Together Family Picnic.”
