On Saturday evening, Sept. 17, families from Solomon Schechter Academy of New London and Temple Emanu-El of Waterford came together for a beautiful Havdalah ceremony and bonfire at Guthrie Beach in New London, led by Emanu-El spiritual leader Rabbi Marc Ekstrand and the congregation’s Cantorial Soloist Sherry Barnes.
