New sounds for the High Holidays (and all year round!)

A new CD filled with mostly new Jewish music intended to bring together the Jewish community in spirit and song. The CD, created in honor of the newly-formed Congregation Shir Shalom of Westchester and Fairfield Counties, located in Ridgefield, includes a song commissioned and co-written by Beth Styles and Cantor Deborah Katchko-Gray called especially written for the new congregation. The song “Shir Shalom,” is based on a teaching by Cantor Katchko-Gray’s cousin, Cantor Leopold Szeer z”l. Other songs on the CD include Noah Aronson’s new “Hayom T’amtzeinu” and an adaptation of “The Water is Wide,” written to the music of Oseh Shalom.

All proceeds from the sale of the CD will benefit the Music Fund at Congregation Shir Shalom. For more information please contact www.ourshirshalom.org. The CD is available on cdbaby or www.cantordebbie.com.
