Joan Sherrow Stein of South Windsor, formerly of Hartford and Aventura, Florida, died Oct. 21. She was the wife of Melvin Stein. She was born in New York. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Steven Stein and his wife Ann, Sheryl Stein, and her husband Rob Mervis, Jay Stein and his wife Valeri French, and Teri Beckoff and her husband Jay; her grandchildren, David, Daniel, Jordan, Abbie and Matthew; her sisters Florence Graff and her husband Malcolm, and Rochelle Fierston and her husband David; her sister-in-law Olivia Sherrow; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her brother Monroe Sherrow.
