Harold Sandler, 91, of New Britain has died. He was the husband of Leona Norma Witkin. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Ben Sandler and Rachel Dubofsky Sandler. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force for 27 years, during World War II, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War, for which he was awarded the Bronze Star while serving in Vietnam. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Ross and Pat Sandler, Marc and Donna Sandler, Keith and Patty Sandler, Robin and Lisa Sandler, Joy and Philip Allen, Bonnie and Ed Wojtowicz and Wendy Sanstrom; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Harold was predeceased by his brother Philip, his sister June, and his granddaughter Jessie.
