Herbert Slotnick, 88, of West Hartford, died Feb. 7. He was the husband of Muriel ‘Marcia’ (Newman) Slotnick. Born in Malden, Mass., he was the son of the late Hyman and Bella (Glanz) Slotnick. He was a member of Beth El Temple of West Hartford. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Lewis A. Slotnick and his wife Jamie of Burlington, and Betsy Slotnick Rubinstein and her husband Reed of Silver Spring, Md.; his grandchildren, Samuel J. Slotnick, Alyssa J. Slotnick, David J. Rubinstein and his wife Yael, Aaron J. Rubinstein and his wife Lauren, and Joseph D. Rubinstein; and his great-granddaughters, Maya and Kayla; a nephew and nieces, and great-nieces. He was also predeceased by his sister Zelda Slotnick Levy.
