Irving M. Shapiro, 99, of Delray Beach, Fla., formerly of Colchester, died March 13. He was the husband of Ethel (Levine) Shapiro. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Joseph and Lena (Shucard) Shapiro. He served as a Captain in the U.S. Army during World War II. He is survived by three children, Lynda Kaplan and her husband, Don, of Marblehead, Mass., Cynthia Shapiro and her husband, Brian Cichella, of Wayland, Mass., and Marshall Shapiro and his wife, Margie Cantor, of Boulder, CO; seven grandchildren, Jonathan Santer, Lee Santer Farwell, Casey Snyder, Elena Snyder Crisp, Isaac Shapiro, Lauren Shapiro and Maya Cantor-Shapiro; and four great-grandchildren, Jack, Ellie, Cece, and Colton.
